Ferndale Transport is seeking a highly efficient, dedicated and safety-driven truck driver to join our team. We are looking for experienced Class-1 Truck Driver with air-brake endorsement and standard transmission. With steady year-round local work. We are not looking for owner operators. We own our trucks and preform regular maintenance. We also will hire people who have open work permits/LMO with the right experience. Experience with transporting dangerous goods, oversize, and heavy loads will be an asset.

Employment Type:
Local sites and working hours from Monday to Friday

Responsibilities & Duties:

Pre-Trip and Post-Trip of the Truck and Trailers
Must possess a valid Class 1 license with Air-Brake Endorsement and Clean Drivers Abstract
A mixture of highway and inner-city driving
Ability to adapt to changing conditions, and find new routes when needed
Correctly loading and unloading 53ft trailers
Ability to chain up in the winter
Communicating with Dispatch via cell phone
Cleanliness of truck and trailer
Experience with highway mountain driving in winter conditions an asset
